Why Fire Safety Matters

Electrical short circuits are a leading cause of fires. It is critical that the conduit housing the wires does not act as fuel or help the fire spread to other parts of a building.

Our IS 9537 compliant Voltoline pipes are engineered with special flame-retardant chemical formulations. This ensures that the PVC will self-extinguish when the primary flame source is removed.

The Testing Process

Ignition Resistance: The conduit is exposed to a direct flame. We verify that the material does not easily ignite or sustain a burn on its own.
Non-Propagation: Once the external flame is removed, the conduit must extinguish itself within a few seconds, preventing the fire from traveling down the pipe line.
