Why We Test for Impact

Electrical conduits are frequently embedded in concrete, buried underground, or exposed in industrial environments where they are subject to heavy physical trauma.

If a conduit fails under pressure, it can compromise the wiring inside, leading to short circuits or worse. Our Stress and Impact tests guarantee that Voltoline pipes maintain their structural integrity even in the harshest conditions.

The Testing Process

Drop Weight Test: A heavy steel striker is dropped from a specified height directly onto the PVC conduit at chilled temperatures to check for brittleness and shattering.
Compression Resistance: The pipes are subjected to a continuous compressive force to ensure they do not deform beyond the allowed IS 9537 standards.
